Script a YouTube Short with AI
One finished Short script: a two-second hook, a tight beat structure, on-screen text, and a title that gets the click.
A Short lives or dies on the first two seconds and on whether every beat earns the next one. This workflow makes your AI tool write the script, then attack its own draft the way a bored viewer would.
WHAT CHANGED
- First release. Eight steps, tested on a channel with zero subscribers.
Pin the Short to one point
Force the script down to a single claim before any writing happens.
PROMPT
I want to make a YouTube Short. My raw idea: [YOUR IDEA]. My viewer is [WHO THEY ARE]. Reduce this to exactly ONE point the Short will make. Say it in one sentence under 15 words. Then tell me in one sentence what the viewer can DO differently after watching. If the point needs a second point to make sense, say so and simplify it.
EXAMPLE OUTPUT, MADE BY AI
One point: "You can script a Short in 10 minutes with three prompts." After watching, the viewer can draft a script the same way tonight.
Write the first two seconds
Generate pattern-break openings and pick the one that earns the click.
PROMPT
Here is the one point of my Short: "[POINT]". Write 5 openings, maximum 2 spoken lines each. Each opening must create a question the viewer needs answered, without withholding information dishonestly. Forbid: "in this video", "let me show you", greetings. Mark the strongest one and explain in one line why it survives a swipe.
EXAMPLE OUTPUT, MADE BY AI
Strongest opening: "This script took 10 minutes. It was three prompts." — it names a speed the viewer doubts, so they stay to check it.
Draft the beat script
Cut every word that buys nothing
Run the drop-off check
Plan the on-screen text
Write the title and the pinned comment
Do the read-aloud test and revise
